This is a list of  the NBA power rankings based on schedule, record, and overall production. I give you a quick summary of each team without boring you with any extra information. I don't affiliate myself with any teams or players but base my rankings on actual data analysis. All teams with a record of .500 or better will be ranked higher than those with a sub .500 record. So lets get started.

1.Golden State Warriors (17-2)

  • Best record in the NBA. Top of their division. An active 12 game winning streak. They have Stephen Curry.

2. San Antonio Spurs (15-5)

  • Slow start to the season. They care about being healthy and winning not record. They are the defending champs.

3. Memphis Grizzlies (16-4)

  • Lost to the Spurs. The next top team with a higher strength of schedule are the 13th ranked Sacramento Kings.

4. Houston Rockets (16-4)

  • No Dwight Howard no problem they got James Harden. Even with that they are better on defense than on offense.

5. Portland Trailblazers (16-4)

  • LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard are healthy. 5-0 division record. Top of division with OKC 9 games behind.

6. Toronto Raptors (15-5)

  • All teams from the East except Toronto would be 8th or worse in the Western Conference. Canada is happy.

7. Los Angeles Clippers (14-5)

  • After a slow start to the season they picked up the pace with a 7 game winning streak.

8. Dallas Mavericks (16-6)

  • The highest scoring team in the NBA. 1 game behind Houston for the division lead. Owner Mark Cuban is happy.

9. Cleveland Cavaliers (11-7)

  • After all their struggles they are 4th in the East. Have a 6 game winning streak. A 3-0 division record. Life is good.

10. Chicago Bulls (12-8)

  • Despite all the Rose drama everything's okay. Jimmy Butler stepped up. A 10-3 road record helps a lot.

11. Washington Wizards (13-6)

  • They are feeding on last year's success. An easy conference and a top 5 defense guarantees them a playoff spot.

12. Atlanta Hawks (13-6)

  • After playing some inconsistent basketball they are now playing at a high level and have a 6 game winning streak.

13. Sacramento Kings (10-10)

  • They have played the toughest schedule so far. DeMarcus Cousins is out. Having a 10-10 record isn't so bad.

14. Phoenix Suns (12-9)

  • They are playing some great basketball but need to slow it down. Their pace can sometimes hurt them.

15. Milwaukee Bucks (11-11)

  • Coach Jason Kidd has done a great job but Larry Sanders has to step up and play better basketball.

16. New Orleans Pelicans (9-10)

  • Having an average offense and defense doesn't help. Anthony Davis can't do it all alone on both sides of the floor.

17. Boston Celtics (7-11)

  • After today's game against the Wizards they have 8 winnable games before playing the Wizards again.

18. Miami Heat (9-11)

  • They started off great but the injuries started piling up. A 4 game losing streak doesn't make it any easier.

19. Denver Nuggets (9-11)

  • They stumble, they get back up, then they stumble. It's going to be hard to get up after some tough games ahead.

20. Orlando Magic (9-14)

  • They tend to beat the bad teams. Playing the Wizards, the Hawks away, and the Hawks at home won't help them.

21. Indiana Pacers (7-13)

  • They have a 4 game losing streak and a tough schedule coming up. At least David West is back.

22. Oklahoma City Thunder (7-13)

  • A 2 game winning streak. Durant and Westbrook are finally healthy. Needs to improve record to be ranked higher.

23. Brooklyn Nets (8-10)

  • Losing to the Hawks by 23 is bad. Having to play the Cavaliers and Bulls this week is worse.

24. Los Angeles Lakers (5-16)

  • 0-5 division record. They have 2 winnable games against the Kings and Timberwolves with the Spurs in between.

25. Charlotte Hornets (5-15)

  • After making the playoffs last year they have fallen real low. Signing Lance Stephenson hasn't helped at all.

26. Utah Jazz (5-15)

  • 8 game losing streak after a tough schedule. Good news is their schedule becomes slightly easier for them.

27. Minnesota Timberwolves (4-15)

  • Everything is falling down on them. Kevin Love is gone. Ricky Rubio is injured. They have a 5 game losing streak.

28. New York Knicks (4-18)

  • They have lost 8 straight games with 7 games being lost by 7 or less points. Need to make the right stops to win.

29. Detroit Pistons (3-18)

  • They have the worst losing streak in the NBA at 12. They are playing worst than the 76ers with all their talents.

30. Philadelphia 76ers (2-18)

  • They have the worst record in the NBA. 0-11 record at home. 0-4 division record. 2 wins on the road is impressive.
